Why do people give the impression that they're going to hire you when they don't intend to?

Yesterday I got a new pair of glasses. This might seem to break the rule I have about updating with stupid day-to-day shit, but no. I had that last pair for four years. This is big news. This is the same as if I got a new arm or something. My only complaint is that they have those little plastic clamp thingies that hold them in place on your nose.

You failed to mention that the reason you needed new glasses was because RX Bandits melted your face off and in the process your glasses slid to the ground and were stomped to pieces by a mob of drunken college preppy faggots!
