Well it finally happened, our oldest cat died this afternoon, she was 17 years old and she's been in 3 different countries. We've known for a while this was imminent but still...

As far as we know she wasn't in any real pain, she just sort of faded away these last few days

I'm sorry, it's hard losing a furry member of the family. At least she wasn't in pain & she had a nice long life (and heck, she was better traveled than most of THEM ^_~)

So sorry to hear. I know how hard it can be to loose a friend, no matter the fact that you knew it was going to happen.

I can only say stay upbeat because before you know it, others will remind you of her.
