Wow, I wish/hope you're right... Unfortunately, the christian religions seems to be getting more and more of a hold on this country. Christian programming does indeed mostly suck, except some good (trendy/artsy) Christian entertainment is infiltrating the mainstream. "Saved!" seemed to be taken by a lot of people to be saying that stupidity/meanness is bad, but jesus and christianity are cool. And shit, Napoleon Dynamite was made by a bunch of Mormon's (but thankfully didn't have any religious message).
The thing that sucks is that religion wasn't being incorporated into politics very much just 20 years ago. But now it is. le sigh.
