When two people hate a show, they can talk about the different things they dislike about it.

When one person likes a show and the other hates it, they can talk about it for hours, trying to convince each other why their opinion is the correct one.

But when two people both like a show, there is nothing to talk about. Well, other than:

while that is true, aside from the validation of sharing your glee with a scene, there is a greater advantage to conversation from both liking a show: you can make clever references to it and the other person will catch them. Which, you must admit, is fun.

Clever references are nice, indeed. I actually wish I had one right now, but nothing's coming to mind.
