Test drove a few cars today.  A VW Golf, an Imprezza and a Forrester.  Trying to decide between the Forrester and the Golf.  New models for both come in next month which means free on-road costs, which makes the difference between not affordable and just affordable for us

That was my thought too :-)

Although, if you're planning to have kids, check that there is room in the car you choose to put a car seat in the back without the front seats only allowing for people below 5' tall! K can only just fit in the passenger seat of our Impreza with the seat behind it...
