I'd heard, at some point, that Dauphin Street was being has been slowly restored to the.. well, what amounts to the equivalent of Bourbon Street, so take that as you want to. *nods* Bourbon street is always packed at night. Kinda like 6th Street in Austin....or the Riverwalk in San Antonio. I think it's cool that your city is trying to revamp itself. Would probably mean more jobs and more tourists. Would probably really help the economny of the city, etc. *shrug*

More work experience will help you find a new job. I think most employeers will like the fact that you went to school and have some work experience...not just some kid straight outta school. They wanna know that you can handle it....and work experience is how they can tell, that and references. I hope it goes well. *hug*

Ah, well. Speaking of Bourbon Street, I'll be making my return to New Orleans for Jazzfest. With my sister (assuming she makes it).. which means, I'll be, you know, drunk as all hell. :D

What you wantin to open? A whorehouse or something? Hell, if you did that, it would probably bring IN business...
unless you're aiming for a club that plays certain types of electronic/ChuckKittie style music that doesn't exist...if you do, hey...I'll be more than happy to come by when I can..

I can't very well open up a whorehouse, I'd be infringing on my grandmother's legacy. ;)

I've thought over time about opening up a S&M club.. or a club that does play my type of music (and it actually goes go hand-in-hand.. some of the fetish clubs play the synth-poppy goodness hah).. and a restaurant. Hell, why not go for all-in-one? Even throw in a tattoo parlor. ;) Get inked while you're watchin' some hot slap and tickle, hehe.

That would be a sweet club...an S&M club, hell yeh, I'd join...I'd even pay to be partner *hint hint*
Mmm...and a restaurant to boot. You could have it so when people came in, they'd be served by these hot chicks and guys, or just chicks, with these hot goth barely there outfits on, mrowr. Leather and stuff hehe.

what the hell is that big skyscraper they're building downtown? what is that supposed to be?

The skyscraper is the RSA Battle Tower.. I'm assuming it's going to be an office building. I dun think they've did too much with it since Katrina.. probably since construction crews were needed so badly in Louisiana and Mississippi.
