Yesterday, my heart-shaped locket slowly slipped off the edge of my desk, quickly plunging to the cold, tile floor. As soon as it hit the ground, it split in half, baring it's insides. At that moment, all I could do was stare at it and chuckle under my breath at the pitiful irony of the situation. What a perfect metaphor to describe my life.
