Actually, after forms of "be," the more proper way to say it would be "Janice and I"; for informal writing writing, though, "me" has grown in acceptance. But Janice should still go first, as you should always place named people before yourself out of politeness.
It's proper to use "me" if you are the object that an action is happening to ("be" verbs don't count because they are reversible--"he is it" vs. "it is he") or are following a preposition. So you could say, "The picture is about the relationship between Janice and me."
Silly, huh? Is this all that a Ph.D. in English is good for? Despite the info I've just posted here, I don't offer advice on grammar/usage unless asked (you did ask), and I often disregard rules in informal writing in the interest of sounding more relaxed.
Well, she should probably just go first out of principal. Get used to being second-in-command...
I kid the girlfriend, of course.
Formal dialogue always sounds so....formal. I wonder when the move towards more casual writing/speaking took over. That said, I try to keep my e-mails, posts, IMs somewhat 'proper,' just to keep up some degree of intelligence. The general trend these days towards.....well, whatever you want to call it is not too cool.
