This rocking chair has always been in my life.

Dad stripped the wood, and varnished it 40ish year ago (I know historians would not be happy) ... Mum re-caned the back of it, and made a tapestry seat .

Oh, what a precious heirloom, both the chair and the doll! I have a toddler-sized teddybear got from my uncle when I was two, and it's said to have had the same size as I had. It's wearing a machine-knitted dress my granny made for me at that age, so it's probably true. *g*
