Bullying

This was originally in response to jeannedecarnin  being amazing and sweet and supportive to a kid at her school, but I don't want to lose it, so it goes here too.

I don't even think it's that people feel threatened, I think that a small gay teenager makes a very easy target for people who feel the need to be mean. Lord knows that I have been thoughtlessly cruel

I was bullied hard and for a very long time in grade school and part of high school. You know what would have made all that better? Just one person speaking up and actually being my friend. That's the cure to bullying, being the bigger person and actually being nice to the "victim" of bullying.
