Spin me back down the years and the days of my youth

Yesterday was a weird day. Kind of like a time warp....except everything was different. I started the day with a photo shoot in Boothwyn...sounds normal enough. The family I shot was the family that lived across the street from me in Upper Darby. This is where I lived from when I was born until I was 8.The Upton family were like my extended family ( Read more... )

I had so many thoughts while reading, so I'll use bullets to organize ;)

- your grandparents and their property sound cool, I wish you could have at least checked the step

- I went back to the house I lived in with both my parents before they divorced, years ago, in Doylestown. I knocked on the door, explained I lived there as a kid, and they let me walk around inside. It was crazy, soooooo tiny. The room me and my brothers shared was like 10x12 and we had two twins a crib and at least one dresser in there!

- I've had a feeling like you're describing, an eery longing for a time in the past. I don't like it. I drove by the Cherry Lane house today and felt fine until I was driving the route we walked to Acme - those memories with the kids that we can't repeat here, and that's the last time I felt normal - I still don't feel normal, I was crying.

Anyway, now I'm talking all about me!

The post didn't bore me, you certainly had quite the trip down memory lane. I hope you get past that eery feeling soon, I always feel wrong ( ... )

I knew you would recognize the lyrics. I never realized how long that song was. I have a few versions, but none of them is actually the whole song.
Next time I am in the area, I am going to knock on the door. I really want to test my visual memory. I see this place so often in my dreams.
