Hello everyone! It's been a while since you've last heard from me, and it's unfortunate that I've had to make an appearance during this current situation instead of for something more positive ( Read more... )

I'm gonna echo what people have pretty much said already and just say that I'm glad to see the tcg getting back on its feet!
Though truthfully I'm more partial to moving to DW (mostly for aesthetic and personal reasons though, lol), I don't mind whatever course the tcg takes and will continue playing whether it stays on LJ or not. I'm just excited to get back into the mood for card collecting, hehe~

We're glad to see it back in action as well! Thanks for the input, with what everyone's been saying so far, it looks like we might be staying on LJ so I'm glad to hear that you'll still be playing if it does! c:

it's great reading this! I was wondering what was going to happen and well I made a LJ account just to play this so I want to keep playing
and I think it's better if we stay in lj ^_^ I don't know how to use DW

I would prefer to stay on lj. I first made an account on here because my friend recommended this tcg, and I really don't want to make another account all over again for it. I'm a bit confused over why the name would need to be changed, but it's not much of a change really, so I'm totally fine with that.

The name would need a changed because we'd be moving communities as we don't have the admin control over this current one and thus, the name 'photographs_tcg' wouldn't be available anymore. The change will only most likely be "photos_tcg" or something similar, so we're keeping the same TCG name, just making a variation of it. Hopefully that makes sense?

eh. i'd honestly prefer to migrate to dreamwidth, only because it's now more my base of operations, but and they have better post limits and etc. but... i'd still play if it were here on lj since my plans to totally migrate fell through. -on the fence-

What else does DW have that LJ does not? I haven't used it much so I'm not too knowledgeable on it... but it's good to know that you'd still play even if we stick to LJ c:

well... it's has a feature to be able to import your journal to it, meaning people wouldn't necessarily have to start from scratch post wise, along with community import, which makes it nicer to import people's tcg comms/posts and even the comm here. and the commenting system is exactly like the original lj commenting system if you have plain posts, which is a lot better on the eyes for some people and definitely a plus to me, haha. however, by default all users are able to have custom comment pages as well.

Oooh, I've heard about the import feature but didn't know much about it or how to do it... do you know if it's easy and hassle-free or?

To be honest I've never used Dreamwidth before. I don't mind getting used to it if we absolutely have to after all learning new things is always good. But if we do, I hope someone who has used it before knows how to do everything can explain to those who are completely clueless like me XD

LOL I am just as new as you, but when I was looking around it with my account, it pretty much works the same as LJ as far as I know, but some of the things are in different sections than they are in LJ.
