Sam and I were both a bit early, so we sat around talking. Apparently the poor boy is still crushing on me, which is sweet, but unfortunate. It is flattering

on the other hand, there is a train south through charlottesville. i'm not sure where it goes when it leaves virginia (although it ends up in new orleans, i think). but that might be something to check out.
just let me know what your pre-existing plans are, and we'll coordinate around them.
lindsay should come, too!

I will look at the train thing. I could do another $30 or so prolly. I'm trying to keep this trip under $400. We'll see how that goes.
Anyway right now my plans are flexible. I can either hang out before the wedding and leave right after, or show up just for the wedding and hang out a few days after that. I guess if you're not coming to Charlottesville, it would make the most sense for me to hang out after the wedding.
If I can fly into BWI and hitch a ride down to C'ville with Lindsay, then I can take the train down closer to you somewhere and fly out of whichever of the airports near you ends up being cheapest. This seems like the least complicated way.

leave charlottesville at 8:52pm
arrive in charlotte, nc at 2:20am
cost is $45
charlotte is still a good 2.5 hours from me, but i don't mind coming to get you. it's all interstate, and i've done it at that time of day before.

Yes to the embroidery! I was thinking a ribbon around it in a darker shade of pink with a small bow on one side and some embroidery of flowers and leaves and things around the bow. Does that make sense? Tell me when I need to write you a big, fat check!
I don't think I got invited to the wedding but I'd love to see you and would be willing to drive down to C'ville or up to Baltimore to grab lunch or something.
