Indeed. SO here is the question for you: what color do you want the band around the base of the crown to be? I just bought some really attractive, plain (and particularly masculine, I think) ribbons in red, black, white, and ecru. The ecru looks really good to me, but the contrast makes the hat a bit dressier. If you want it more casual, I think a black, blue, or a grey would be better. The felt itself is a very dark grey with bluish undertones. Let me know. I'll post a picture of the progress tonight if that'll help
