Walla Walla! I loved WW when my daughter and I went through there for her college tour. She briefly considered Whitman. Because of the university there are a few places where you can actually buy the NYT on a newstand.

What are you doing there? How long will you be there? You can email me directly at doyenne08 at hotmail dot com if you want, or not if you don't want. Just know you have my best wishes!

See Dry Falls - pretty interesting, and of course the Columbia Gorge, oh I could do a whole list of interesting places!

My husband works as a civilian for the DOD currently with the Logistics section of the Army Corp of Engineers here in Walla Walla. Not sure how long we are going to be here, but hopefully he likes this jobs enough, we will stay for a while. If not, he will start the long process of applying again.

I am debating looking into teaching. I have a degree but with all the moving I have really never used it, so I feel like it is hard to get hired, plus I would need to change the license to this state which I think would mean taking another state test since I am still a new teacher, and there dont seem to be jobs on my level in the local district, at least listed online. We have talked about starting our family sometime soon.

I found out that there is going to a free day/open house at the Fort Walla Walla museum that we are interested in. We are interested in eventually checking out some of the wineries. Not sure of what else to do, so sightseeing ideas are appreciated, as well as any other insight into the area, like where to eat.
