Ooh, the lavendar farm! I'm putting that on my list for the next time I'm in the area. Don't forget wineries if your folks are into wine tasting. And is Palouse Falls close enough for you to visit?
Also, there's an iris garden somewhere in southeastern Washington, in a very very small town. If your folks will be there in May, it might be fun to visit. It's a private garden, but huge. You can buy the corms if you like the flowers. Quite a variety of colors. Sorry I can't be more specific about the place....
If they come late enough in the summer, you might be able to find a county fair or rodeo, but I'm not sure of the schedules. Sept was the Spokane County fair.
If they're there in early May, you might be interested in seeing the Bloomsday race (in Spokane), the first Sunday in May. Sit in Frank's Diner and have French toast and watch the early finishers come in.
I'm sure they're really interested in seeing you, not places!
They are coming out in July, some of these things are probably too far away but I just want to list a lot of things, and we can decide later how far we want to travel and what things we will all enjoy.
They arent really into wine, so that knocks out all the tasting places. My husband and his father are History majors so I found several brochures on area museums and historial locations. Thanks for the tips, I'll have to look into the garden. I'll add the link for the lavendar farm and other things later.
