Summer Sports

You know, I never really had myself pegged as a sports-watchin' gal, but apparently the summertime does strange things to me. Currently, I'm following World Cup soccer, the Tour de France, and earlier today I was watching a rerun of last year's Home Run Derby, reminding me that I have to watch that and the All-Star Game. I know, that's kinda how I feel. I just want to be around the smell of fresh baked goods all day. And I heard today that a friend of mine might be getting a job at the same place doing the actual baking...Color me jealous (except for the pay part, gotta be a little materialistic)

Officially "Bakery Sales Clerk": customer service, register, restocking the glass cases, wiping down the tables in the adjacent little dining area, cleaning anything and everything when there's nothing else to do...you know, basically the same as all the other food service positions I've had.

well, I've had a soft spot in my heart for soccer since I played U-14. And besides, hot muscular men...I'm totally there. But you can chock your obsession up to World Cup Fevah! I hear it's an officially recognized disability :P

Ah, well...in that case perhaps you should seek medical attention. Or just accept that you're a fan, move to England, and start calling it "football."
