Very true.
But there is also the great divide between high school dating...and that big scary concept..
the real world

Dating in the real world is more of what you describe.
High school dating is lusty raging hormones, ego boosts, a need to feel liked, desire to fit in...et cetera, et cetera, insert a thousand more shallow teen things.

But whatevah. Have fun while you can, and get some sweet action.
