Simon's 3rd Annual Quarter-Century Birthday Bash!
I just sent this email out to people, but on the off-chance that there's someone on LJ that didn't get the email, or in case people are more likely to see it on LJ before their inbox, here it is. If you can read this, consider yourself invited.

I finally got word from my boss today that I have Friday, January 29th; Saturday, January 30th; and Sunday, January 31st off as I requested. Now I can openly invite you all out for... [insert drum roll here]
Simon's 3rd Annual Quarter-Century Birthday Bash! (Also known as Simon’s 27th Birthday Celebration.)
The party is planned out in three stages, as follows, in accordance with three of the things I love most:
STAGE 1: MAGIC!
The Pre-Release tournament for the next Magic set happens to fall on the morning of my actual birthday. I’ll be damned if I’m not going to be there. Those of you who have no interest in this (which, granted, is a lot, if not most of you) can skip to the “STAGE 2: SUSHI!” section. For those precious few of you who might actually come out and party it up all nerd-like with me:
Worldwake Pre-Release Sealed Deck Tournament
Where: Teddy N’ Me in Shopper’s World
Time: Start time should be 11am, but be there for 10:30am-ish.
Cost: I believe it’s $30. I think that’s what the Sealed Tournament events have cost in the past.
If you want to tag along, show up at Teddy before things should be rolling by 11am. Hopefully the store can accommodate those of you that decide to join me. It’s a small store, and they’ve already got quite the regular community.
STAGE 2: SUSHI!
Brampton has a new-ish all-you-can-eat sushi buffet place: Tokyo Maki Sushi, right at the corner of Hurontario/Main Street and Bartley Bull Parkway, right across from Shopper’s World. It would be awesome if a bunch of you could come join me for delicious, delicious gorging.
Sushi Buffet Dinner!
Where: Tokyo Maki Sushi, 2 Bartley Bull Parkway (Map!)
When: 7pm
Cost: I believe the buffet dinner on Saturday nights is in the ballpark of $22. Maybe a little steep, but have you tried their dragon rolls? Amazing!
If you plan to join me for this, it may be best to let me know by Sunday, January 24. I have no idea if I can make a reservation for Saturday night, but if enough of you plan on coming along, it’s probably best that I try. Maybe I can get the party room or something.
STAGE 3: NACHOS AND BEER!
Because my birthday just would not be complete without these things.
Where: The Birch And Beaver, 237 Queen Street East. It’s just east of Kennedy Road. (Map!)
When: 9:30-ish. Basically, whenever we’re done with the sushi.
Cost: Will vary, depending on how hungry/thirsty you are/I am.
No reservation nonsense here. Show up sometime if you can. Anytime from 9:30-ish till last call is probably fine, but it may be best you call me before you do if you think there’s a chance we won’t be there.
