Facebook is good for quick, one-liner updates, but not the lengthy drawls which I often blurted out here.

And to be entirely honest, I wouldn't be using Facebook nearly as much if it weren't for the free app for my iPhone. Not that this discredits your claim at all. Just sayin'.

Why are Facebook Notes not good for lengthy drawls?

The biggest feature Facebook lacks (in my opinion) is the ability to modify privacy settings of individual entries after they are posted.

i no longer feel so god like that i need others to know what im doing on a daily basis.....pretty much killed my lj with exception to silly stories.

I could probably spare a few moments to share the odd amusing anecdote here and there, but I totally get the god-complex thing.

It's also very true that people in general don't need/want/care to know every last detail of anyone's life except their own. There are always exceptions, but those exceptions get taken out for nachos and beer.
