Birthday post II

Well, it's 10:30 PM on my 40th birthday.  I'm finally home.  I'll be headed for bed soon.  The dude survived and the last time I saw him he was doing pretty well.  He has a metal "skewer" in his right radius and a temporary cast on his arm.  The catheter has been removed from his hand.  His Mom is spending tonight at the hospital with him.  I did ( Read more... )

I can't really imagine how awful that must have been for all of you. Is he in much pain?

He's okay now, but he was in a lot of pain at first. He was white as a sheet. At first, my biggest fear was that he might go into shock. We made it through okay though. Now, at the age of 8, he's experienced Morphine, Codeine, Nitrous Oxide, and a whole host of other fun chemicals!

i'm glad to hear he's okay! little boys tend to break their bones every now and then. don't worry too much :)

i say this from the pov where half of the guys i went to school with broke at least one or two bones in primary school alone

He's doing much better thanks. He'll be in a cast for quite awhile and he still complains of pain once in awhile. Now that he's next to useless, he's offering to help around the kitchen all the time. I think his 'handicap' is still fun for the moment.
