I would love to have the time and a place to contemplate eternity, but I guess I was doing enough of that this weekend. We're sorry we missed you, though I can say that if we had stayed around we would not have been much pleasure to have, having spent most of Saturday dancing and celebrating the union of two such Charla-soulmates as Matt and Sonia. Your trip sounds like it was wonderful and I'm glad for you, I hope everything in Toronto has settled down since you went. I'm sure we'll get the chance to see you again soon.
Until later, then. There's always a futon waiting for you and Joe here in Toronto, should you wish it. I, in turn, may be coming to Ottawa for a few days later in June. Details to follow.
The Reboot action figures make PERFECT sense. Mainframe, the studio that created Reboot and Shadow raiders hails from B.C.. :) As for the ET reference, I dont know.
That explains it. I guess a lot of the pop-cultural stuff they had was tangentially related to B.C.; there selection of period music included the theme from the X-Files, many episodes of which would have been filmed in the province.
Did I mention that they also had a vintage Luke Skywalker action figure in its original packaging?
The bunnies at UVic are legendary and apparently date back to a biology experiment gone astray. The students at the time, 70s or 80s I think, didn't realize that the old saying 'to procreate like bunnies' was based on fact.
Several of my friends attended UVic and while I was visiting in first year they told me a delightful tale of one particularly, erm, industrious bunny who tried to befriend a much smaller and ultimately faster bunny. I'll tell you some time in a less open forum.

Hehe that's awesome! Next they should do experiments on alligators or something. I think a ReBoot exhibit would be the best place to contemplate eternity. Cuz I love ReBoot.
