My HP sounds like it's gonna lift off (ie, it needs to be cleaned). Can I clean the fans or whatever myself? What does that entail? Or do I need to take it somewhere?

So I got a drastic haircut. And for the first time in 22 years, I have managed to style my hair. And it looks good, dammit.
