Uday sucks first of all. I hate seeing pics of him. And here is the reply to your comment you left in my journal.
Disclaimer: I will not entertain any responses to this except for the owner of this journal, frankly, I don't have time nor the energy. This topic hurts me horribly and makes me depressed.
If you want to act like a post-deleting little girl, go ahead.
Honey, the only reason why I deleted your journal was so that I could block you from commenting in my journal. I don't re-call inviting you over to insult me in my own journal. I would never have the nerve to do such a thing to you. I am sure we disagree on many things. But I wouldn't come over to your journal and comment. Truthfully, you kinda creeped me out, the fact that you were reading my journal so far back in time and then reading comments I made and responding to one. I felt like you were trolling and I'm not about that.
I hope you do better facing unpleasant realities and challenging issues in your grad program. Why thank you! (and I mean that) Too bad

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me here. I appreciate that you want to continue the discussion.
Also, let me apologize for being a bit heavy-handed in my tone. No, I'm not as directly affected by the Iraq war as you, but it is something I am emotionally invested in for more varied reasons than you might expect. Therefore, I tend to get frustrated when I encounter opinions that seem entirely oblivious to the incalculably positive effects that could arise from a successful reconstruction of Iraq, and the American moral desire, and strategic need, to engender those effects.

As then, I am a little confused by this reaction. I don't understand the point of having a public journal with an open commenting policy, if you are "creeped out" by people who would read your writings and respond. My intentions were no darker or weirder than that. I'm not some dangerous, obese weirdo in an unlit room trolling for people to harrass. I saw you post in a few communities I read, realized you are Iraqi, and decided to read your journal to see the reactions of an Iraqi to what's going on

"In my opinion, it was never the intention of the U.S. to instill peace in the region. In fact, I feel it is quite the opposite. Now they have their hands full and overflowing, not sure what to do. The fact is, the U.S. has its own reasons for occupying the country. Mainly different interests ranging from oil to just plain old control and economic security. We have to be the big guys who deal the shots not take 'em."What I think you -- and many people -- are missing is that American security interests in Iraq are inextricably bound up with Iraqi security interests. If we were to go in there and fail to reconstruct the place, it would make zero sense in the 4th Generation War context of the War on Terror as a security undertaking on our part. What I mean by that is simple: Islamofascist terrorism of the Al Qaeda ilk flourishes in the pan-regional environment of kleptocratic despotism that has been the lot of the Arab states since the end of the colonial period. By "kleptocratic", I am referring to the plutocracies in Saudi Arabia

That said, let's move on to your comments.
