If you assume a third-person position in order to better study yourself, and then periodically switch back and forth between being yourself and being the third-person, I wonder if at some point you get confused about which one of the two you really are. Because at some other point, one of the identities might start to get frightened or pissed off ( Read more... )

Hey yeah. When I was reading that I thought to myself that killing your perspective isn't really suicide. It's more like an amputation. Your right. It's very similar to fight club.

However, when I was reading what you typed I imagined the third person as being a sort of out of body experience... which in case, could not be killed because spirit like things absorb bullets.
