[Point in time taken from canon] After he goes through the black veil in the Fifth Book (Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix)

[Background] (More information can be found here.)Sirius was always different from his family. Of course by looks he was the standard black with his gray eyes and black hair but as they all say you can't judge a book by it's cover. For one thing Sirius didn't agree with his family on their anti muggle(non magical people) ways, another factor was that he actually got along better with those his mother called “blood traitors” and also the “half Breeds”. A few members of his family through out the years realized how wrong the Black thinking was and it was those people that the young Sirius looked up too. But being nothing more then a child trapped in a house full of what could be called the perfect Blacks made him worried about speaking out. But as he grew older he couldn't help but go against his parents. There was a line though that he would not pass, in case they chose to keep him from Hogwarts, a place he was looking forward to, mostly because of the freedom it offered.

And when he got on that train it was like a breath of fresh air. He met a boy named James Potter and almost instantly became friends with him. But almost as fast he had also gained his first enemy, Serverus Snape. Over the years they played pranks on their fellow school mates (mostly Serverus who then on became Snivellus) while avoiding the lectures of Lily Evens and the capture of the school staff. Life was good and carefree, and he and James only seemed to be getting closer. Later on in the year he also made friends with Remus Lupin, and sort of became friends with James's number 1 fan, Peter Pettigrew. But also during his first year he had people who where weary of him, since he did come from a family of mostly dark wizards.

But soon enough this fear went away and people began to realize Sirius for who he really was. (admittedly he was still a real Prat, but the girls didn't complain.) And in their second year a real test of friendship came over James and Sirius (Peter being a bit slow on the up take). They weren't naive, and both being pure wizards understood the signs of their friend Remus Lupin. And it was in their second year that they began thinking of what to do and what to say. It didn't take long for Sirius though to decide that people who said werewolves where dangerous and wild where complete morons, for Remus was neither and actually the opposite. Of them all he was the most mature and the most disciplined. So then all that mattered was how to help their friend. And then it hit them one dreary morning after they spent the full moon night in the library looking up things about werewolves. And so they began their preparations and training to become Illegal Animagus's.

It wasn't until their Fifth year that they finally managed it and mostly because they also had to teach Peter. James was a Stag, Peter a rat, and Sirius Black became probably the best thing you'd want in order to control a werewolf, a very large black dog. Since then Sirius was given the name Padfoot which he accepted gladly. Steadily since his 1st year Sirius's disdain for his parents grew and he became known as the rebel, doing anything he could to go against his family's wishes. In the same year he had became a Animagus he also decided he has had enough of his family and ran away to live with James. They where already brothers in heart and was accepted easily into the family. But he didn't plan to bother the Potters forever and when he got a great inheritance from his favorite uncle he chose to leave and live on his own in his 7th year. He finished school and after becoming of age joined the secret order led by Dumbledore called the Order of Phoenix. His early adult life was spent in action, terror, joy, and becoming James's best man to his and Lily's wedding as well as named god father of their future child. Sirius was always there for James and the new Lily Potter and planned to be there as much as possible for the young Harry.

But fate wasn't so kind. A spy was in their midst and emotions where on high and when James and Lily called for him and asked him to be their secret keeper he was filled with joy at the trust they had for him but also with dread and fear. He recalled the Snape incident and decided not to accept, making James choose Peter since no one would expect it and Sirius would watch over the man. But this moment of fear would become his biggest regret for the rest of his life, for Peter was the spy. Enraged and betrayed, Sirius decided to go after Peter alone without telling his story to anyone. But Peter was more clever and faked his own death to the point even Sirius didn't realize what had really happened. Laughing madly he went to Azkaban (the wizardry prison) without a trial by order of Crouch on the charges of murdering a wizard, multiple muggles and for conspiring with Voldemort. All of which where faulty charges.

For 12 years he stayed there without much of a wish to get out and without any way of accomplishing such a feat. The only thing keeping him even mildly sane was the fact he was innocent and the fact he was a illegal Animagus, a dogs emotions being harder for the Dementors to feel then a mans. And this dog form also would aid him in his escape after finding Peter in rat form in the Daily Prophet. He changed into a dog and escaped the prison, doggy paddling his way to land. But it wasn't long before they found out he had escaped and he instantly became one of the most infamous people in the world. This didn't stop him though from traveling the country as a dog and coming to check up on Harry before heading out to Hogwarts and staying in the Forbidden forest, all the while thinking and planning on how he was going to grab the rat. He made friends with Crookshanks, Hermine Granger's cat, and with the cats help was able to get very close to succeeding in his plans. But the rat kept escaping until one day they found him with Harry, Ron, and Hermione very near to where they were hidden. He could smell him even through the invisibility cloak and Crookshanks went after the rat causing the others to abandon the cloak in pursuit and Sirius made his move. He grabbed Ron who had a hold of the rat and dragged him under the weeping willow where they had been hiding before.

This was probably one of the worst, and yet best moments of his life. Harry tried to kill him and almost succeeded until Remus came and saved him and he was able to tell his story although not as fast as he would have pleased. He had regained his last true friend and he could see that the three children where considering his story. The doubt was enough though, and changing Peter back into a man made them realize the truth although mostly after questioning Peter. Remus and Sirius would have killed Peter but Harry stopped them (as well as Snape earlier from giving Sirius and Remus up to the Dementors). They instead decided to try and take Peter to the Dementors and clear Sirius's name but no sooner as they were heading out and Sirius thought the world was bright again, (Harry had agreed to come and live with him), Remus began changing into a werewolf and Sirius was forced to fight him to protect Harry and his friends. Peter managed to escape during the commotion and he ran after the rat only after wolf Remus ran off into the Forbidden Forest. But instead of finding Peter he found himself surrounded by a hundred Dementors. He soon was knocked out by the force of it all and even forced back into human form. He thought he would soon be good as dead until he woke up in Flitwick's Office, a office he recognized from his childhood years. He told Dumbledore his story and soon after the old man left he found his god son and Hermione riding on such an extraordinary creature near the window and broke out of the school. He really wished he could of stayed with Harry longer but on the children's combined shouts to go he got on Buck Beak the hippogryph and flew off leaving Harry and the rest of Hogwarts behind, planning to send a letter and a gift to Harry as soon as he could.

After that he was yet again a man on the run but he kept mostly to the South where he was safest. That was until Harry told him about his scar hurting and he decided to head tail it back up to the North and into Hogsmede. He stayed with a Dog lover for awhile before moving into the caves upon Dumbledore's advice. And he was very glad to be near as he heard rumors and stories of Harry being entered into the Triwizard Tournament and what was happening at the school. He helped as much as possible and after Harry fought with Voldemort and faced his first death he stayed next to him. He was shocked at all he had heard but he was far more worried about his god son to give it too much thought at the time. He was the one that spread the word that the Order had reunited to all the old members and even made peace...ish...with Snape. He lived with Remus for awhile before they had to move back into Grimmauld Place(Sirius's old house). And to say the least Sirius was not happy about this but understood the logic. This time they made Dumbledore the secret keeper over the hide out.

It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't that house and if he hadn't been commanded to stay inside even though he could listen to everything the others where doing for the cause. He hated being stuck inside, the only thing he was allowed to do was send messages or clean. He took most of this out on Kreacher but slowly it was driving him over board. He started thinking Harry as being James without realizing it himself. But Death eaters now knew he was an Animagus thanks to Peter and Mr. Malfoy proved this the one time Sirius had left. But it was just so lonely... The few days everyone was with him where the best moments during that entire time. But his hatred for the place and the displeasure he showed Kreacher had become his downfall and Kreacher tricked them and sent Harry out into danger. When Sirius heard about this he could not stand back and left to battle with the rest of the order. He had to go, he had to make sure Harry was okay and to help him and that topped with the fact Sirius hadn't been outside most of the year it was no wonder he left to do battle. Unfortunately though this would end up being the last time did anything on his world for he was killed. But Somarium would be giving Sirius a few more years of life and freedom he had lost. And although Sirius knew something was wrong he refused to believe his death and thought the entire thing a nightmare.

[Personality] Sirius can sometimes find it hard to trust others and himself. But there are a few he trusts deeply, this includes James Potter, Remus Lupin, Harry Potter and currently Dumbledore. On first meeting he will probably act normal but wouldn't give out very much personal information. And if your a dark wizard or is a master of the dark arts not only will he not trust you but his emotions would border on hate. He is very loyal though and respects the thoughts of those he does trust. He is very protective of Harry and wishes only for his safety although as of late he's also been thinking of Harry more as a friend then of a son, causing him to support Harry taking a few risks. But having been faced with the fact that Harry was in mortal danger probably made Sirius far more protective again, similar to how he was when Harry had been entered into the Triwizard Tournament.

He doesn't care much for those of his family and can be said to even hate them, although he does care about Regulus a bit more then his parents. Those who are involved with his family such as corrupted government is treated with similar disdain that he shows to his family. He loves the Potters like family and although he didn't agree much with Lily at first he grew to think of her somewhat like a sister, mostly through James. You can say he hates Snape even more then James and Harry combined and tends to get into arguments with Molly Weasley and other people like her.

When it comes to romance and love he is lacking. When he was younger he was very good looking and was used to the fangirls around him but he really didn't pay much attention to them. He was too busy being a rebel to bother with dating or trying to get to know a girl and probably the only one he really bothered with was Lily and only because James wouldn't give up on her. Being his best friend he had a obligation to try and help James win over his crush. After school he had been too busy with the Order and even then he never really gave girls much thought. All this also includes the blokes by the way, but he did pay more attention to them. Does this mean he might be gay? Maybe...I think he just really doesn't care. But hopefully we'll find out as time goes by.

When around people and free, Sirius is a very joyful person and easy going. He laughs a lot and can usually be found cracking a joke or telling stories. This joyfulness can be somewhat annoying to some but to others it can be almost contagious. But lately it's been rare when he has felt free dom or been around people that didn't want to send him to have his soul sucked out. I'm sure in Som his mood will cool back down to how he was before Azkaban. When he's alone, or even if he knows he will be alone, he goes into a depressive state and becomes rather temperamental but usually during these times he chooses to keep to himself. He's always had a bit of an anger problem and Azkaban hasn't helped but after being framed for murder he has very careful with his actions unless you're the enemy, then he's going to go all out on you and even more so. He hates sitting around doing nothing, he needs adventure and activity for he is a very active guy. He's scared of Dementors for good reason but also he's scared to loose Harry. Sometimes he acts more like a dog then a man. He's grown used to being in his dog form and if he wants to avoid something will probably transform into a dog. He also transforms when he's scared or in a moment of deep weakness, not wanting to show it in his human form. Otherwise the only time he transforms is if he has too.

Sirius is able to admit his own faults and past wrong doings. He's very honest and mostly fearless although he's rash and doesn't seem to care much about his own safety. He tends to be pretty hard on himself except when he thinks someone deserved what he did to them. He knows he's pretty foolish and advises people to not fallow his example, making him somewhat of a hypocrite. But it's only because he cares.~ He tends to mock people sometimes and is rather impatient. If he can he likes to make things interesting and if he's in a good mood with try to make you laugh. He used to be a big prankster back in school and although he still has the heart of a prankster he has dulled it down lately. Though don't tempt him, he'd probably take the bait. He's not good with authority, choosing most of the time not to listen unless he wanted to or if someone he cared about asked him too. The few people he'll listen too is Dumbledore, Harry, and sometimes Remus. Back when James was alive he would listen to him too and after he married Lily this spread to her.

[Abilities] Sirius is a very good wizard and proud to be one but since he has been without a wand for so long he has grown used to doing things the muggle way. Well...more like the doggy way. The point is he probably won't use the wand as much as most pure blood wizards. He'd probably use it only for big battles against other wizards. He doesn't like the wand he's using because he stole it off of a Death Eater and it just doesn't feel right to him. What most people have to worry about it the fact he can transform into a very very large black dog that if he wants to can rip you limb from limb, luckily he usually only fights Werewolves in this form. Most of the time he's just a lovable stray. He's rather weak as a normal man after his time in Azkaban so not much worry there.

[Other important stuff] He thinks his death is a dream and will probably not believe he's supposed to be dead unless Harry tells him.

[Sample post]
[First Person] Ever had that feeling where you know what your seeing is different and foreign and yet rather familiar. Well it seems this entire place is like that. I wake up in a ordinary broom closet and enter a room I have never seen in my life in a city I've never been to with what seems like a ordinary muggle device in my pocket. Usually someone would just brush most of that off and go away. But unfortunately I know I'm supposed to stay in that hell hole of a house and as much as I would like to think this is all a joke everyone allowed in the house knows I'm not allowed to leave. So first question I asked myself was how I got here and where I was. I decide to check around this totally foreign room but I can't find anything besides the fact that it reminds me of someone but that someone can't be anywhere near here. Although I did realize it was a wizards room. But no map...Then I discover this device that I've seen ad's for all over Europe but it has my information and seems to be more magical then it lets on. Luckily it has a map and now I know I'm in Somarium on a unknown planet because I know no such place exists on Earth. And I know Kreacher can't Apparate me anywhere against my will, I ordered him not too.

So I take some time to think about it and only one thing fits...I must have been kidnapped by magical aliens and dropped off onto a planet that their using to study humans in a habitat similar to that of earth. And this device must be to help us along on this planet and to communicate with other captives. Well I'm not going to complain, in fact these aliens are my new best friends! But if anyone has a better hypothesis feel free to tell me because I'm starting to think I may be going crazy, or even already there.

[Third Person] They were evenly matched back in the day but Sirius felt at the top of his game, no one could defeat him! He had finally gotten out of that wretched house and he was protecting Harry and once more doing what he loved most, fighting dark wizards. He fired a spell at Bellatrix and dodged around the pillar of the arch. He knew what this was, how could he not having grown up in a family of dark wizards? He made sure to stay away from the fluttering black cloth but he refused to move too far away. It seemed only fit that they fight here, death being just oh so close. But he wasn't planning to be the one finding out just who's voices those where beyond the veil. He started to laugh as Bellatrix fired another Avada Kadvra curse at him which again he dodged. His full attention was on her, not even noticing as Dumbledore came into the room or Harry's eyes turning to him.“Come on you can do better then that!” He said like this battle was just another one of their duels. But just as the words left his mouth he saw a flash of red light and felt cold go through his chest. It was a very strange sensation, it didn't hurt but he could feel his heart slow down and it felt like he was being forced into a deep sleep. All he could do was stare forward as he fell backwards. He watched as the black ragged veil came around him and then everything went dark and a chill wrapped itself about him like a blanket. The last thing he heard was his cousins laughter and his name being screamed by his god son, but the sound was nothing but a whisper to him.

And then he woke up, his hand gripping at the place where he'd been hit. His eyes were wide, his breathing was like a man that had been under water for very long time. After awhile he calmed down and took look around, finding himself in a very dark room. The next thing he felt was a pain on his head and he winced. “Ow.” He said grimacing and his hand moving to his head. He tried to make out anything in the room but couldn't see a thing. He then fumbled around trying to find a light switch only to end up nicking his hand on a shard of glass. He pulled it back with a hiss and sucked on the cut instinctively. He used his other hand now and more gingerly searched, but couldn't find anything. He sighed and tried to make himself more comfortable while being careful for anymore glass. And instead of feeling glass he felt the wand he had stolen on his way to battle. He picked it up and muttered -lumos the wand lighting up instantly and Sirius had to blink a few times at the sudden brightness. He stared around him and found himself in a muggle broom closet. And what he guessed had caused his head ache was a box full of Christmas ornaments that where now shattered all over the place. Swearing he carefully reached for the door knob and opened the door leaving the small closet. “What a dream...” he said rubbing his head again and took a look around. This wasn't his room, or even a room that one would find in Grimmauld Place. He was first hit with a great sense of freedom and then with confusion and then finally worry. Inside his head he distinctly heard a female voice that wavered from bad audio. “Todo I don't think where in Kansas Anymore...” “Or in London...” He said before walking further into the room. He felt he ought to probably get out of there but something about the room seemed very familiar...

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Because I felt it would be good for the character itself and a great learning experience for myself playing him. I have had him in a few other Rp's and each time he went a different way and has developed my muse extensively. I think I can play him well and this place seems just right for him. Mostly since for once I can fallow ALL of the Cannon.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] ALL RULES....But mostly keep OOC out of IC
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Lina
[Any questions?] Should I use Gary Oldman or someone that fits the books description more for his icons? Or Fanart...That's an option too.

SAMPLE QUESTIONS:

- If you could go back home, would you? Why or why not? Of course! There is a war going on and I could be over there helping them fight against my slimy cousins and their friends! I have no idea whats going on and it's enough to make a man go mad! ...Well...Madder then he already is...
- What were you doing before now? I was upstairs and then...I'm not sure I think I fell asleep.
- If you were to describe yourself in one sentence, what would that be? The white sheep in a Black family.
- If someone provoked or attacked you, what would you do? I would teach them a lesson.
- Would you consider yourself a power hungry individual? ..I don't think so. But I admit that when I was younger my popularity and power went to my head. I was a real prat...
- Someone is trying to rob you! What do you do? Depends what their robbing... if it's important I would get it back even if I have to tie them up by their ankles like Snivellus. If I didn't have a wand I'd get him muggle style or wait until he wasn't looking and sick snuffles on him.
- If I offered to save your soul for a price, would you go with it and why? No, because I'd think you'd be a nut job or someone scamming naive people.
- Do you stand up against authority, go against all odds, and if you could, pierce the heavens with your fighting spirit? If not, would you if you could? Have, and would always. I have many reasons to fight and people to protect. I don't care about what happens to me.
- If you could have any super ability, what would it be and why? A way to instantly kill Voldemort before he can hurt Harry or anyone else anymore then he has would be great.
- You are on the verge of death. You know there is no way to survive and there's no coming back. Choose any of the following to answer: Last thoughts? How do you feel? Who is the last person you think of other than your killer? ….*eyes go blank* What just happened...Is my last thought and then everything goes cold before slowly going numb and then it's like...falling asleep. And...I think about Harry, like I could hear his voice...But I just got that from a dream so...I'm not sure. *Snaps back into reality*
- You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why? I would help my friend and then go after the bastard. I'm not going to leave my friend to die if I can help them.
- You discover someone stalking you. Do you call the police or deal with it yourself? I can't call the police, so I'd deal with it myself, although even if I could go to the police I would still go after them myself.
- What is more important to you: having friends or living on your own? Why? Having friends...It gets really lonely when no one is there with you. Not to mention I tend to dwell on the bad things in life rather then the good.
- The hottest boy/girl in class/workplace just confessed their love to you. How do you respond? I was the hottest boy in class back when I was in school. I would probably date them for awhile before dumping them...I wasn't a very good man when it came to hearts.
- You just got a challenge to fight from one of the strongest gang leaders around. Do you accept or reject? Why? I would Accept, even though I know it's foolish I know I would Accept...
- Do you prefer adventure or the peaceful life? Adventure, of course. A Peaceful life is not only non existent around me but boring.
- Do you prefer the city or living out in the country? Why? Lately I prefer the country because it's easier for me there but if you want news and to be where the action is you have to go to the city. I'm usually a very active guy so I rather spend my time in the city but the country isn't so bad.
- You are suddenly told you are the child of an ancient prophecy to save the world. How do you feel? Will you embark on your journey? Or would you rather shove it onto someone else and run away? Explain. I would accept it, mostly because it would be the opposite of what my family wants of me, and secondly because I'm no coward. Not to mention it would force Dumbledore to let me out of the house! And it would really help me understand and help Harry if I knew what he was going through...
