Thanks to hyla_regilla I realize the mystery eggs are almost certainly snail eggs. The inside of the eggs is very watery, not at all gooey, and the eggs aren't particularly gooey either, almost like hard plastic spheres.  The larger ones are substantially more translucent than the smaller ones.  These details and their size (3-5mm) jibe well with what I'm ( Read more... )

I am periodically reminded that I have at least three published role-playing game authors on my livejournal friends list.

I'm not exactly sure how that happened: haven't touched the stuff since I was 13, myself, unless you count things like nethack.

To be played while watching KQED's Check, Please! Bay Area. They put up streams of episodes after a week or two if you can't catch it at its usual times. I haven't seen the Chicago original.
