Fixating on SPN Hair

Suddenly, after seeing Episodes 6-01 and 6-02, I have fixated on how the guys' hair is different this season.   Sam's seems much more chocolaty brown than it used to.  I always thought of it as a dirty blond but now it seems uniformly brunette.  Dean's hair is still short but no longer spiky.  It looks a lot more like the way Jensen actually wears

I noticed Jared had like cut his hair, but not the change in color.
The Dean hair I bet is Jensen's attempt to domesticate Dean though.
Think we'll see it go back to spikey, now that he is back on the Road?
