Last week my hubbie bought me a new (refurbished) KitchenAid Pro Mixer. I love it, love it, love it. I have used it almost every day since it came home. And today I made a cover for it.
Now you See It
Now You Don't!!!
I bought the material at WalMart and using quilted lining, I made the pattern and cut it out. Then I quilted each piece before sewing it all together. It took me a couple of hours, but I think it was worth it. It will be machine washable, and it will protect my mixer from dust etc. I couldn't find any suitable quilted material to use so I had to make my own. No problem, as I have done this kind of thing before. I know I could have bought a cover from E-Bay but this one is made by me, and I think it is better. I used to do lots of sewing when my children were younger, but now I use my machine only when I get "ideas for things" or for mending or hemming. But I sure am glad I have this machine. It still works great after 36 years, believe it or not. Am I giving away my
age???
