Now how do I get cast...

I was reading a friend's LJ and she mentioned that HBO is going to be making a show based on the Fire and Ice books. I was really excited about this, and now ask myself how I would get cast in a roll. I wouldn't even care if it was a small role, sword carrier on the right, it would be a kick ass time to see the show created ( Read more... )

I'd be there too. Even if it meant I had to dress in frilly girly things.

Let me check with my mom's cousin. She works out in Hollywood (worked on Cheers, Star Trek: TNG, Babylon 5 among many other shows). I'd be surprised if she didn't have some sort of HBO contact.

Where does HBO hold casting calls for its programming?: HBO leaves casting to the producing company.

To be written and executive produced by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss

Figure out what company (possibly a new one) Benioff & Weiss are using and ask where they're casting.

I could totally see you in this thing. I say take the idea and go with it and get cast. (though I gotta say, Tyler did dampen my spirits by mentioning it will probably be years before this show actually happens...but if they publish it, there's gotta be some truth in there somewhere...I guess this means you have time to research what you gotta do to get into this thing?)

Seriously? Oh, look up the books, I highly recommend them. The first is called A Game of Thrones. They are all by George R. R. Martin.
