Life is... interesting. This week, I started working as a driver at the Pizza Hut in Montevallo, because I'm still living at my apartment by the school. I also got hired on by the website Comic Booked, as part of their webcomics writing team! That job doesn't pay, yet, though. I'm still working with my old photography job, for the next three weekends until show choir season is over for the year. And I'm still trying to find a "big girl" job (I'm hoping the writing gig for Comic Booked could turn into one). I'm also deciding if I should follow my roommate and her boyfriend to Atlanta when our lease runs out in May, or if I should stay here and find more student roommates for another lease or two, or if I should move back home for the time being...
augh why aren't I still in college, then I knew what I had to do and when!
Wow, sounds like you have so much to think about and weigh up - so many changes. But it's great, because you've been working towards all this, finishing college and all. And while it seems daunting, it's also really exciting!
I hope people are being nice to you when you hand over their pizza!
I was anxious because I started back at school last week and my boss had to adjust a few things to accomadate me at work, but things have settled down for the moment. Just getting back into a creative environment is refreshing to me, after a long boring summer! :D
Haha, actually, as a general rule... I guess people aren't NOT nice when I give them their pizza, but.... I've gotta a reputation at the store as "unluckiest driver," because if a driver is going to not get tipped, or get their order boxes wrong, or sent off late and have to deal with an irate customer... it's always me. Tonight? I worked 5 hours, going on 6 or 7 delivery jobs, and I made $1 in tips. Sigh. BUT. I'm SUPPOSED to be hearing from one of the libraries in my county this week: I was picked out of 55+ applicants for the Assistant Box Office / Gallery Organizer position. They offered the position to me on the condition that I pass a drug test and a physical, both of which I passed last week. So hopefully: better-paying, more long-term job, soon.
How are the school/work environments meshing, and all that?
