Books I hate

The Colour of Magic by Terry PratchettYeah, I know, it's a Pratchett book. This was the first Pratchett book I read, cuz, you know, it comes first, and I didn't touch the Discworld series again for years until someone gave me Equal Rites for my fourteenth birthday and got me hooked. Paul as a name is a great name. My favourite uncle is called Paul.
No, I have nothing against reasonable Biblical names. I have one myself, it would be rather hypocritical if I objected to those.

I am sorry, I have obviously got rather a lot wrong - I didn't check my factoids, not having a Bible on me at the time of writing. You are of course right - I was confusing Paul with the Gospels in that it's Paul's Letters, and with Peter in the having to be corrected by Jesus all the time.
But most of the terrible ideas that keep being quoted by far-right fundamentalists still come from Paul and I still hate that book.

I think that 'classic' and 'old' have become more-or-less interchangeable when talking about books. Or films, for that matter.
