HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! XD
HELLO LIVEJOURNAL PEEPS!!! :D so it's 2010, hope you all had a great new years eve, i spent it at home so there was as usual, much drunken revellry and singing!! needless to say, this meant tender heads and stomachs the next morning, BUT when i crawled out of my room, i was greeted with the most beautiful and MAGICAL sight - SNOW!!!
now, i know that for some people around the world, snow is a usual and often hindering thing, but for us in Ireland, snow is just, amazing and wonderful and beautiful, and this year it wasn't the usual piss-poor smattering of snow that would be melted by the afternoon, it was PROPER, covering-everything-in-white-causing-the-bus-service-to-stop snow!!! So my dad comes in at that moment from walking the dog, grinning from ear to ear and starts yelling for us all to get up, get dressed and get out the door so we can stake a claim on the field at the top of the road and BUILD A SNOWMAN!!! I'm sent to drag the girls out of bed, my bro grabs the boys and OFF WE GO!! unfortunately the snow was too fluffy to get a proper snowman going, though while my family decided to give up, i stubbornly determinedly struggled on...and promptly gave up ten minutes later, with what could only be described as either the makings of the most amazing snowman in the world, OR the most amazing snowball in the world! So instead, me and my sis both made little heads and created ourselves a tiny two headed snowman!!

after that there was HUGE snowball fight where i got pelted in the face with many a snowball, pelted people in the face with snowballs, and laughed my ass off when my bro luke threw a snowball, missed and when he tried to turn to run away he tripped over his own feel and fell over, and just lay there while he was bombarded with snow. priceless!
also, this snow and it's causing the airports and bus service and whatnot to be shut down has inspired me to write a colin/bradley fic where bradley comes over to armagh for new year/colin's birthday and they get snowed in and well...naughtyness ensues, teehee!! hopefully i'll find the time to get it done!!
so i'm WELL happy with how my new year has started! i've got two fests to write for this month (because i'm lazy and leave everything to the last minute!) and then i can get back to writing my own stuff!
