I like Ben Barnes but I haven't seen him in much. I'd like to see this movie sometime. I've never read the book though...I didn't read your thoughts cause I don't want to be spoiled for when I do see it

he's not in much, all i know that he's in is the 2nd and 3rd narnia movies, and this film, but hopefully he'll be in a LOT more in the future! you should definitely watch the movie and i would DEFINITELY recommend the book, it's wonderful, plus i love oscar wilde's style of writing!

there are parts of the movie where they fuck with the storyline of the book so much i'm practically having a fit of indignance on oscar wilde's behalf.

Well that about sums it up now doesn't it? Same reason I CANNOT STAND the movie The Count of Monte Cristo. *clutches book to heart* MINE

haha, yes it does! i haven't read the count of monte cristo, or seen the film, and i really want to, mostly from The Shawshank Redemption and V for Vendetta, but also because it sounds really good!

OMG YOU NEED TO READ IT. LIKE NOW. IT'S SOOOOO GOOD.

The movie is okay... but... I'm a very big booky person when it comes to films that are made form books. I always, always, always prefer the books. That is not to say I don't give the movies a fair chance, I just have it boiled down to the fact that my imagination is always cooler than what's on a cinema screen. =P

OK COOL I'LL READ IT!! i'm always on the look out for new books to read! :D

haha, oh i'm the EXACT same when it comes to books made into movie, the only two i've ever been happy with have been Watchmen and Lord of the Rings.

but don't forget that Oscar Wilde had to write it subtle.if he had the liberty to or say if he were to live in our time i think there's a high possibility that he would have written the themes more openly.
so i'm actually ok with that but i only heard bad stuff about this movie so i'm really reluctant to watch it. :/
