So Alissa has come through the surgery and there have been no complications this far. She was in quite a lot of pain the first few days but that mostly ended once we got her home, last Sunday. Now that the initial pain from the surgery has mostly faded we can start to gauge how effective the surgery was for relieving her symptoms from before, ( Read more... )

J.R.'s got a LARP next Saturday, but beyond that, I am happy to say we're clear.

That is very good to hear, and please accept my wishes for her further recovery (and more than recovery, it sounds like).

Also, I enjoyed your story on 365tomorrows. I recognized the pseudonym. :)

And I'm heavily considering returning to Jersey if that's where work takes me, so maybe I'll be able to get in on one of your games. It would be fun to do that again.

The Philly job market was bad before the recession. Now, things really bite. Plus, even though I've been in school down here it seems all my friends are in NJ, so why not go where I know people?

You'll stay down in Philly until the end of March, I hope? I'm planning to be down there sometime over the next few weekends (either the 2nd or 3rd of March) and would love to catch up with you.

Otherwise, we'll welcome you back to NJ with open arms. Once you wash that taint of no major sports championships in the past glacial epoch off of you

I am so happy that she is feeling better! We are totally up for getting together - March, unlike February, is mostly free and clear!
