So things with Alissa have been progressing slowly but steadily. While it seems like almost every other day we discover some new symptom that she is no longer feeling, her overall progress has been about as slow as we were told it should be. When they say that there is a 3-6 month recovery period, I guess they mean it. But on the plus side, we have

Oh my gosh! I've been on my surgery rotation and so out of touch with the world. Did try to send you an email but it bounced; guess I need to delete the old email addy out of my address book and make sure I put a more recent one in.

You both have definitely been in my thoughts and prayers, and I am glad to know that the surgery went well and that Alissa is recovering slowly but surely. You will both be able to build a social life up again, I am sure, because in the end you're both awesome people. Hang in there!
