Geed? What's a geed? B)

I am in position to elbow (if I should want to do so) two Ubuntu computers, and I'm considering making my work machine dual boot.

Interesting about the NIC. I always go Netgear, after first getting an expensive 3COM NIC that never worked with Linux, never worked with BeOS, and never, ever worked with Windows.

My next big adventure is to make Wine work with some of my wife's business software. I'm hoping it works well.

The NIC that didn't work was from "Pulse" in China, which I've never heard of. I don't remember the brand that I stuck in there, but it's probably Linksys or D-Link or something. It was just lying around our computer repair classroom and they let me have it.

All of the boxes I'm using are pretty much franken-puters that I've added random memory sticks to to get them to the point that they'll run Ubuntu (or XP, for that matter).

I'm not looking forward to my adventures in Wine, just because I'm getting sick of fiddling with the damn things.
