A majority of the cactuar...you're referring to the ones that had invaded Bydan, correct? So, presumably, the town is relatively safe now?

Mm, indeed. Unless they are organised and intelligent enough to launch a sneak attack by burrowing and waiting, which I doubt, the town is fine.

Experimental purposes.

I have something of an affinity with plants, so my being able to get a live one to conduct a few tests on would be beneficial.

At least then we could be sure exactly which elements it is susceptible to and to which it has a resistance. Our skirmish with them was all a bit of a shambles, so more precise information would be useful in the future.

I guess that makes sense, though I'm not entirely sure Cactuars are really plants.

I'm pretty sure they are, though I'll see for certain when I free the one that Cloud informed me is stuck in the engine room.

If it's a plant, I should be able to manipulate it. If it is an animal, I won't be able to; I'm no Beastmaster.
