Must have been from the area (ie, there legally) and thus had something to lose. We discovered our neighbors didn't have driver's licenses or privleges to be in this country after they totalled our tent trailer while paralell parking on the street, and the LA County Sheriff's Department refused to charge them on the grounds that "only citizens or people lawfully in this country can be charged." Here, that would have gotten INS's attention so fast, heads would spin...

Yeah, and because you're lawfully there, you can't just go and give them a hardwood shampoo, how sad is that!
