[After some time of absence, Naoto's actually posting a video on the network. 'He' looks unperturbed as usual, but if anyone actually knew 'him', 'he's' irritated right now]My apologies for the maps still not being ready. We've finished, but without a copying machine, it takes time to re-draw a map for each person here. Several are ready now, but I

But then she sees Naoto's eyes harden, the way his gaze focuses on something out-of frame, and she knows what he's seeing. She's been seeing them, too. Every morning, every evening. Getting worse as the week wears on. So she forgets about giving a headcount and instead starts an audio feed- so no one has to feel as if the other is trying to pry- and says, in the tight voice of someone trying to fake their way through a difficult situation:]

[This is something she can speak with absolute vehemence on. Rhode was much the same way back on the Ark, after all; treating Lavi's mind as something to play with. And even earlier than that, she'd treated Lenalee herself as a living doll. And she can't ever picture herself as calling herself a doll simply because Rhode saw her as such, so why should Naoto feel as if Libitina thinking them toys makes them toys?]

[Unless (and her throat tightens) death wasn't to have a permanence here for anyone, just like with Sasuke. Slightly softer:] ...Would you like any help, Naoto? I know you have Lavi helping with the maps, but... I'd like to be of assistance, too.

[She pauses, thinking] ... I have yet to begin any of my research, but I'll most likely begin looking into the genocide and it's various connections to Libitina. I would like to begin as soon as possible; however, my writing material is limited after map making. If you had a notebook or two to spare...
