One of the realizations lately from my meditations is that I treat other people a lot better than I treat myself.

Might be a good idea to find a meditation group, one that does not ask for huge sums of money (naturally, a small fee to keep the operation running is a different story). I read (ha-ha) that having a real live teacher as opposed to books/podcasts is important because it can counteract our natural tendency to (a) cherry pick the things we like from what we read/listen to and (b) go off into our own ideas when we meditate. In other words, it's handy to have somebody to be there to tell you you're being a twat ;-)
