New York + Books

I want to say I hated the trip or I loved it but... really... it was pretty 'meh'
I guess that's what trips are like with tourist companies...you don't get to do enough of what you want to do and you do too much of what you don't want to do...

the highlight of my trip was probably getting stuff at Barnes and Noble...

as usual I went to find the Moleskine section... and upon locating said section...I was almost surprised that there were sketchbooks there... I've been looking for the sketchbooks for like a whole year but they were always sold out

then I also found Alice's Adventure in Wonderland and Throught the Looking Glass in one book with the original illustrations... which I've been looking for for 2 years...I would've liked a version with the Hunting of the Snarks in it too but oh well...

after that, I felt like getting another book... I've been buying books lately hoping that I'll get into the habit of reading again
but all the books that I've gotten so far were ones that I've already read... so I decided to look around a bit in the classics section and I found a Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court... a satire about some guy who ended up in King Arthur's time or something... which reminded me John Steinbeck's satire the Short Reign of Pipin IV and his The Acts of King Arthur and His Noble Knights... so I decided to get that too...
later... after buying the book and flipping through it... I realized this book came with illustrations... which was a pleasant surprise... it has a picture on every other page...

oooooh also... this

really wanted some... especially the popsicles one... but like... it's 20 dollars each orz

Phantom of the Opera chandelier... the set and the costumes were amazing *A*
