Yesterday was my last day at my job. It's amazing.. you wouldn't think getting fired would be so much WORK. I'm sorry to hear you were fired. But, yeah, Colleges tend to revel in bureaucracy and red tape, even for stuff like that.

To be slightly more accurate - my job was eliminated due to budget cuts. But that would have made the first post much more semantically awkward, if marginally more accurate.
