I had a pretty good lesson today (minus my altissimo's stubbornness in squeaking...need to fix that before the jury), and I feel like I've come a long way this year in terms of playing the saxophone. im having diffuculty with smb decision as well, but im not really getting my pressures from the studio. it comes from my family and friends. ill basically be disowned if i dont do marching band, but my friends dont really want me to do it. then of course theres the lulloff/nichol anti-smb business that lingers around. i guess i just try to think like what is the best for yourself and screw everyone else. i've never even liked marching band that much, even in high school, but i can think of a few reasons to do it for one more year even though marching doesnt thrill me.
anyways good luck with your decision and hope your jury went well, you sounded good in the studio recital and not like i know that much but it sounds like you really have improved a lot this year.
and sorry i wrote an essay.... =P
