Today was a nice easy one. I got up around 9 and fed and petted Sweetie, then had brekkie - a nice slow one. My candlestick globes arrived, together with one of the CDs I ordered, The Paul Simon Anthology. It's very good. Went back to bed late in the afternoon for a nap. Wow! That was some holiday! Got back from Sitges at 3pm today and slept till 10pm! Came from 25 degrees back to 9. It's really freezing here, but I don't care one whit. today was a rather interesting experiment. i slept virtually all day, then a friend came over with a [very strong] bottle of vino and im in great form altogether.

well jve managed to break jt off. ive never had to do it before but it really had to be done as he was very bad for me. i'm glad to be able to say i wasn't in the least unpleasant about it and he took jt quite well. yay me.

He's burnt his boats with what he did on Wednesday but I need to get rid of him anyway. He hates Andrea Bocelli, and also he makes little disparaging remarks to me which have begun to really get on my wick. I've been ignoring his phone calls yesterday and today, but he buzzed my bell tonight several times (which I ignored) and it's time to face ( Read more... )

Just back from Galway where I had a great break with my dear friend Frances. We didn't do much, just pottered around, chatted and drank endless cups of tea! I bought a lovely outfit for my birthday party at the end of the month, complete with costume jewellery, and got some good cds including an early Liam Clancy one - its lovely. Today was pretty uneventful. I'm feeling a bit down so I reckon that colours everything at the moment. Class went very well. We had a hilarious fire drill, which should have taken 2 minutes, but ended up taking 4 - we'd all have been a bit singed in a real fire! Went to the Castle and had a lovely toasted sandwich.
