My feelings on the Virginia Tech tragedy

I've taken the past two days to collect my thoughts and feelings on the horrific tragedy that took place at Virginia Tech on Monday morning. I didn't even find out what happened until after work Monday afternoon, and it has captured my attention and emotions since that afternoon. i was going to post a link to this post on my journal because it is really very wonderful. but i see you've protected it.
i suppose i could give up being lazy and write one of my own, but you expressed my feelings very well. would you consider un protecting it? i do have a rather lovely group of friends and would be willing to restrict my post to them.

Yeah, I've had all my entries protected but I can unprotect this, it doesn't have anything terribly personal or whatever in it. It's just a habit I got into. Thank you.

There's a reason I don't watch the news; if it's important, it'll show up on LiveJournal somewhere, or possibly even the Inlander. The rest is just pointlessly depressing.

You know, its scary thinking that one day we'll probably be making decisions as to when and how to release information, lockdown, etc.
