Car update

If I knew how to embed images, I'd be able to share the wreckage of my vehicle. Let's just suffice it to say that a number of people have told me today that I really shouldn't be walking around at this point. The damage was even worse than I had initially thought it was. My hood was doing something weird. The ENTIRE driver's side is all sorts ( Read more... )

I highly recommend a Toyota Corolla. They are great on gas mileage, cheap and dependable. Just look around the next time you're out on the road, about every 5th car is a Corolla. I still see very old ones every day on the road. I'm sure you'd be able to find a plethora of them on the used market.

Other than that, I am so happy that you are okay. And I hope that nothing major comes of your neck pain.

Yes! I'm a big proponent of Toyotas. My old white one was a Camry. It was given to me with 100,000 miles on it, and when it died nearly ten years later, it had 160,000.

The first car Ken & I got together (it was a lease) was a Corolla. As I recall, we never had any kind of major problems with it at all.

We also really like Saturns. Both of our current cars are Saturns.

Good luck with finding a new car. I'm really sorry all this has happened to you, and I'm thankful you walked away from it.

I have been in more than my share of accidents, and in just about all of them my neck was a little stiff for a few days later. In 1994 I was stopped at a light and a guy hit me going 30 miles an hour. I was sure I'd be injured, but amazingly enough, I was ok. So, hopefully you'll be just fine.

Wow, I'm really sorry this all happened. Well, hopefully you'll get a nice car to replace it and everything will be just ducky. :)

After my accident in 1993 that totalled Margaret the 1st, I had a broken nose, deviated septum (which got UN-deviated in 2000 when Cierra broke my nose), TMJ, sciatic compression. I still have lingering effects today. For example, I cannot lift things or chew gum and every now and then my back spasms and I can't move or my jaw won't open. Make sure you get to a doctor to give you a once over.
