Nearly 38 weeks pregnant now. The home-birth midwife team are on standby to come dashing round at the first sign of labour, apparently. If I was to have the baby now it wouldn't be considered premature! Gosh. I hope I don't have it now. River is an amazing existentialist. I actually almost died laughing at Her response was "Maybe the baby comes out and is River, and I am the baby in your tummy." Oh my God, River. There's no adequate response to that, really.

I'm sorry the pregnancy has been pretty horrible. :(

Well, the pregnancy is nearly over, so it's not all bad!

And I love getting an insight into River's thoughts/emotions like this. So glad she's articulate. We know a few other toddlers of a similar age and they're still struggling to string sentences together. They're clearly experiencing the same complicated thoughts and feelings, but have no way to express any of it adequately. Like a living nightmare, really.
