I'm going to have to disagree with most of the people I know who've seen ROTF and seem to have loved it. I thought it was "Eh..." or maybe an "Okay" at best. I think the movie would have been MUCH better had it been about a half hour shorter, maybe more.

People complained that in TF1, the Autobots got pretty decent characterization and the Decepticons got hardly any. Apparently those complaints were heard, because now the ratio is exactly reversed. I believe Ironhide and Ratchet do even less in this film than the original.

I agree wholeheartedly about the Tard Twins. I just found them horribly embarassing, and a shame that they ate up so much time in the most high-profile TF story ever made. There were many, many "WHY?!?

I guess I liked the film, but I found it very disappointing. The second half really felt like a lot of filler thrown together to cover for the Writers Strike, and the final battle with bigbads Devastator, Megatron, and Fallen was skimped on to make more room for Air Force moneyshots and Shia playing like he was in Indiana Jones again.

Really? I had her pegged as a Decepticon from scene 1. She stood out. A lot.

Haven't seen the film yet, but I do hope they scale back some of the crude humor for the next one, give all the TFs a bit more characterization and, should Skids and Mudflap return, have them be a little less exaggerated...and maybe have slightly different heads.

Still, despite all the complaints, I'm eager to see it.
