Ah yes, summertime. The time of year where I traditionally hide my pasty-white, not-well-shaped butt inside and wish I had gotten fit and tan so I could properly enjoy the beach.

This year, I hope to break with tradition.(1)

Starting today, I'm setting up a twice-a-day exercise routine. The morning after I arrive home from work will be basic ( Read more... )

1. It is also tradition at this year that I lament my lack of a girlfriend. But let's start with one tradition at a time.

2. And that's being kind. Working third shift for as many years as I have, I beleive I have fallen into the shade of white known as 'vampiric'.

3. I'm really not as dangerous as I sound. I'm a Live Action Role Player, so all the weapons are safe 'boffer' ones. However, the act of swinging them around in fighting styles is a great cardiovascular workout, and good for overall body toning. Plus, I want to start LARPing again in the fall so I'd best get in combat shape if I don't want to be orc-chow.

4. I'd like to have at least one summer where I can delude myself into thinking I'm a FILF.

5. Long time MMPORG junkie. Playing online doesn't exactly improve my potential FILF status, so I'd better give it up for this summer.

6. There's sosmething about Pink that makes me want to improve myself. THe musics good to exercise to...yeah, I'm not fooling anyone am I? She's the kind of body-type I'd look for in a gal- ( ... )

7. Dropping soda except for one big bottle a week to last me (it's so bad for you, it's not funny). Cutting down on processed sugars and switching to more natural sweets like fruits.

Well, I used to drink a bottle a day of the $0.50-per-2L-bottle generic Mountain Dew ("Mountain Lightning") from Wal-Mart, but now I drink TaB instead. Yeah, only comes in 12-packs of 12-oz cans, but no sugar there, processed or othertwise. :D

In fact, 0 calories, 0 fat, 0 carb, 0 protein, and Very Low Sodium. :D

Plus it doesn't have that nasty metallic taste that most 'diet' versions of drinks have. Dunno what the difference is that does that.

Oh, and yes, TaB is caffeinated. :)

Decaf = bad. Enough said.
